And it will, not even given half the chance! I love geraniums, but boy can they be invasive!

So is it manual focus, or are you telling me your Canon (which model?) has built in AF?

Auto focus. It's actually an old lens that Sigma "chipped" to work with digital cameras. My 70D drives it via the usual contacts, same as any Canon lens.

Have you got a link to show that your Sigma 105 doesn't have a motor, or that your Canon does?

Sorry, no, I don't know the technical details, only that it works (ie. I use it) the same way as my Canon lens.
