I have not looked at the detail, but this would for example:

School has 1000 pupils and receives £500,000. Equates to £500 per pupil.

School has to accommodate an extra 18 pupils yet still receives £500,000 (ie no budget cut). Equates to £491 per pupil.

Actually, i misread it - 9% cuts and -£286 per pupil by 2022 under the tories, along with 4 less teachers. The methodology is very vague on that website, based on "sensitive information which is why it is not generally available".

May has that covered already, innit.

Mr May, in entirely coincidental circumstances, just happens to work for one of the big players in the Equity Release market.

Ah, the passive aggressive chord of despair.

No, they weren't a 'disaster'. They were no better and no worse than any other administration. They made mistakes, by their own admission, but they also got things done. It's just lazy, meaningless outer-suburban blubber from you.

And as if by magic .......

Snouts in the trough together?

That seems to be the strength of it, yes.

The Tory party's symbiotic relationships with the super-rich and the print media, will see them comfortably re-elected despite their leader's woeful performance, and everything will continue just as before.

Not for me. Had planned a late one but now got meetings in Birmingham tomorrow and on the 5.50 train. So i think early to bed, up earlier than normal (with coffee) to see the state of play about 5am and then train and the Today programme,

Good post.

I've never liked that the term is thrown at anyone successful, who reveals any left leaning stance, or any socialist principles. That is a nonsense.

I think the term has a place, where seeking to highlight hypocrisy. But being successful, and having (and sharing) a social conscience are far from mutually exclusive.

This. It's nothing more than a cheap and simple shot.

I've got the opposite problem -- I've got so used to NSC ballot-stuffing that it's distressing only to be able to vote once. I want to vote at work and at home, then clear my cookies and vote again.

I haven't seen that interview
It's on YT.

but she has been unable to answer simple questions or provide any substance, giving nothing answers and soundbites, the entire campaign.
That's what all politicians do in all interviews. When Labour are asked how they're going to finance their plans, they don't have an answer (other than 'we're going to tax the rich', which isn't exactly the precise detail we need).
This is something individuals from sides of politics have commented on.
Who has said this?

How is it biased?
38 Degrees is a British not-for-profit political-activism organisation. It describes itself as "progressive" and claims to "campaign for fairness, defend rights, promote peace, preserve the planet and deepen democracy in the UK.

It is a biased website.

It was sent to me by someone who it scored as very much conservative.
It doesn't matter who sent it to you.

Could be a bit of a "shy Corbyn" effect this time ? ???

I've wondered about this. I'm not deluded and I think the tories will win, but I did wonder if we'll have a shy labour vote this time round. Especially given how the polling figures showed the policies being so popular with the leader being so unpopular. You see the stuff like the mail yesterday giving 13 pages of bile and guff to smearing Corbyn and it does make you think.

Well, hats off and fair play to all you Noble Order of Brave Stayers that are doing all-nighters.

For me, it's comparable to Christmas for the under 5's - an air of excitement tinged with an air of expectation and predictability - no point trying to stay awake to see Santa struggle with his big sack of gifts for you - just get to sleep and hope you wake up in the morning surprised .... and you got what you asked for!

pathetic indictment of head up arse voters...i hope to god that these figures are not regurgitated on a national level......

I seriously can't imagine the tories will get less than 29% of the National vote.

Seems you have two choices

1/ Make the most of the free education, health and state support you've enjoyed for the last 50 odd years and try to make a better life for yourself (which may mean working hard and not constantly whining about people who are working harder to make the most of their opportunities)2/ Go somewhere else and make the most of the opportunities there (although you may find the change of culture, language and weather a little challenging !)

But I'll guess you'll go for option 3. Carry on taking and moaning that everyone else is taking what's rightfully yours

You are the type of waster who drags this great country and city down :tosser:
or 4...... STOP POSTING THE TRUTH :hilton:

The only downside is we are unlikely to see Diane Abbott trying to spin the cataclysmic defeat into some sort of victory.

I know right? It's well fun taking the mick out of someone with a serious long term illness, rumoured by many to be early onset dementia.
