There has been several red shirts, which one are you referring to? Or have I been whooshed ?

There was an all read with white and blue circle on the socks, brand with a S I think?

Superleague the manufacturer perhaps? 1997-1998 with Sandtex and 1998-1999 with Donatello

I've kept a good few shirts over the years including the Chewit wrapper away, TSB home, Palookaville away in dark blue and maroon and the Sandtex pinstripe.

I also have a match worn home shirt from none other than...wait for it... Craig Davis. ???

Haven't bought many Amex era shirts but I do have a Vicente's old training shirt (barely used!) and another that belonged to Ashley Barnes.

Correct, never sold to the fans, and neither was the following season with NOBO on it, rare as rocking horse poo, and one of the half dozen or so Brighton shirts missing from my collection. There is a poster on here who owns one, he was given it at the end of the season, I believe he was in the junior seagulls or fan club or some such (grr).

Which shirts are you missing?

As an aside - just flicking through your website - astounded that we produced those red and blue tops at one point! Even if they were 'special'.

Sussex, by the sea
I've never been a fan of red for BHA . . . Blue, white, or yellow for me, although the Phoenix one looks ok.

Would like a Bukta away . . .and a home that fits. Still have a NOBO ( minus NOBO) and a load of skint ones, also have Arthurs little ones. I only wear a repro cotton one, never been a fan of scratchy fire hazard materials

I’m also a big fan of obscure kits, and these days tend to increase my collection with shirts from far and wide as I have all the Brighton shirts now. ConIFA shirts are prized, as are lower league shirts from the USA. Generally anything that catches my eye. I’m slowly building a collection of Sussex team shirts too. I try to pick up a shirt or two when I’m away on holidays, and when travelling around the UK I look for non league grounds to visit and see what I can find.
Collection stands around 500 shirts, not as many as some but for me each shirt has a bit of a story. This is my footie shirt room at the moment

Missing
84/85 home.
80/83 away and third
83/84 away (both blue logo and red logo versions)
84/85 third
85/86 away
86/87 away
They are all shirts that were never released as replicas for the fans to buy, only ever made for the playing squad.

The red and blue shirts were, I am pretty sure, made for pre-season football workshops/trials etc, most likely for academy ages.

I don’t still have it Phil. It was number 10, player worn (Saunders / Connor). Someone on here offered me £400 for it years ago. Such a lot of money for something that I’d come by for free, and had sat in the bottom of a cupboard for 20 years, that I felt a bit guilty about it, and threw in a home Ribeiro match worn one (#14) into the bargain.

I uploaded it to your site, before I sold it:

This is where Phil tells you he'd have given you £750 for it.

Even if (especially if?) he wouldn't have really.

Nowadays I would offer pretty much that for it.

He couldn’t do that, because I could just dig out the PM of the offer he did make!

£40 wasn't it? I think I was a bit of a novice collector back then, hadn't really grasped the concept of the value of shirts like that. Now it's all a bit different, it's become a thoroughly enjoyable hobby, cheaper than classic cars, but sometimes still frighteningly expensive.

Ha. Something like that. I also had zero idea of its worth, until the other chap sent me his offer out of the blue. I’d not have parted with it for just a few quid - not because I wouldn’t have thought £40 was a fair offer - I had no clue - more that it was quite cool, so worth more to me, than that. If that makes sense.

I'll sell it to you one day! And on that day you will probably discover one for a fiver in charity shop!

Anyone help me? (Probably Superphil, ha)

I have a White Albion shirt from late Withdean era, with ITS as the sponsor, and a blue swirl with a gold edge - in a similar(ish) style to the swirl on the old red-black away kit.

Does anyone know what this shirt is, and whether it's an away, third or training shirt?
