Correct, never sold to the fans, and neither was the following season with NOBO on it, rare as rocking horse poo, and one of the half dozen or so Brighton shirts missing from my collection. There is a poster on here who owns one, he was given it at the end of the season, I believe he was in the junior seagulls or fan club or some such (grr).
I’m also a big fan of obscure kits, and these days tend to increase my collection with shirts from far and wide as I have all the Brighton shirts now. ConIFA shirts are prized, as are lower league shirts from the USA. Generally anything that catches my eye. I’m slowly building a collection of Sussex team shirts too. I try to pick up a shirt or two when I’m away on holidays, and when travelling around the UK I look for non league grounds to visit and see what I can find.
Collection stands around 500 shirts, not as many as some but for me each shirt has a bit of a story. This is my footie shirt room at the moment
Which shirts are you missing?
As an aside - just flicking through your website - astounded that we produced those red and blue tops at one point! Even if they were 'special'.

I don’t still have it Phil. It was number 10, player worn (Saunders / Connor). Someone on here offered me £400 for it years ago. Such a lot of money for something that I’d come by for free, and had sat in the bottom of a cupboard for 20 years, that I felt a bit guilty about it, and threw in a home Ribeiro match worn one (#14) into the bargain.
I uploaded it to your site, before I sold it:

This is where Phil tells you he'd have given you £750 for it.
Even if (especially if?) he wouldn't have really.

He couldn’t do that, because I could just dig out the PM of the offer he did make!
Nowadays I would offer pretty much that for it.
£40 wasn't it? I think I was a bit of a novice collector back then, hadn't really grasped the concept of the value of shirts like that. Now it's all a bit different, it's become a thoroughly enjoyable hobby, cheaper than classic cars, but sometimes still frighteningly expensive.
