I really don't understand USA politics. In a country of 330 million people, the best 2 candidates that they can come up with is Trump and Biden?
We're talking about a Western democracy where women don't have full autonomy over their own bodies.
Where a proposed solution to children being shot to death in school is to arm teachers.

America is a truly baffling place.

America is a truly baffling place.
A country where people would prefer to be saddled with a lifetime of debt for having an operation than countenance introducing a tax funded, free at point of service healthcare system for all

God apparently has other ideas 😂

- DeSanctimonious is scarier than DT for different reasons if his recent Florida re-election campaign ad is anything to go by!

That's scary. Very scary.

If the GOP can keep all the focus on Donald, they could quietly elect a bloke not out of place in The Purge films, the US is in real trouble either way.

That’s more reflective of your own political outlook I’d suggest. Vox is regarded as just left of centre but no where near with as much left wing bias as CNN or MSNBC News, both major mainstream news sources and considered ‘proper news’ and no where near with as much rightwing bias as Fox News and some of Murdoch’s other ‘proper news’ media outputs.

Youre missing the point about him removing the special corporation tax status against Disney, it was done in retaliation to Disney speaking out against DeSantis legislation that bars classroom discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity in the state's primary schools.

Again, on vaccinating children under 5 - in America, it certainly was the Biden Administration‘s position that vaccines should be made widely available to children under 5 as it was recommended and introduced by the CDC (Centre for Disease Control)
DeSantis was courting support from the anti-vaxxers - it was a political stance not a medical one.

Politically, it’s an astute article (did you see the video of DeSantis’ ad campaign above or read his record of political activity whilst being Governor of Florida? Agree or disagree, there is nothing in that article that suggests a ‘party political broadcast‘ on behalf of anyone!
I think any article that focuses entirely on the bad and pays no attention at all to the good, must be said to be biased. Even opponents of Arthur Scargill and Margaret Thatcher must (if they are being fair) accept that their careers included good points as well as bad.

Baffling is putting it mildly. Illegal to terminate a pregnancy based on incest/rape etc... But totally ok for homicidal maniacs to buy assault rifles with hundred's of rounds or even under 18 can legally own guns if it's for ranching, farming, target practice or hunting.

Can drive at 16 but can't drink alcohol until 21.

To be fair, and I am not at all a fan of how the healthcare system works here as it is a business, not a service. But a very large majority of those that work have their health insurance covered by their employer. This coverage also covers all family members (husband, wife & kids) those that do not have health insurance covered by employment, do pay the insurance out of their own pocket. But, once you add in costs of living across the board, it almost equates to a level playing field to costs of living elsewhere. Gas/Petrol has traditionally been cheaper, food and fun stuff has been affordable for all, compare that once you add up all of your bills and I imagine at the end of the day total outgoings are about the same. Some items are higher, and some items are lower. Those that are saddled with large debt are those that do not have any form of insurance and have to pay the full amounts, that being said, there are levels of free health available for all, such examples being MediCare and Medicaid.

Yet, insurance companies find excuses to not pay out.

Lose your job and you lose that insurance.

The poverty and suffering’s shocking. In Manhattan in July we were almost stepping over bare feet beggars or folk trying to hustle a dollar from visitors were everywhere, all looked in a very bad way. Goodness knows how they’ll survive a North East winter.

Have and Have-Nots on steroids.

The latest slogan is Make America Great and Glorious again.
New merchandise is MAGAGA.
If Trump can make America Great again why didn't he do it the last time he was president? or did he?
When was the last time America was great and / or what was the period in time that America wasn't great?
Can Trump promise to make America great (again?) within the 4 year term and how would he do it?

Don't underestimate American stupidity, if he runs, he will win by a landslide.

Democrats don't stand a chance after Biden.
Heard exactly the same before 2020. It was bollocks then and it’s bollocks now.
