A Christian bishop who was put to death for performing Christian marriages when banned from doing so by the Romans.

Like most festivals it has changed over the years.

Some couples like it and other ignore it.
We don't go overboard but do buy cards for each other.

We tell each other that we love each other every day but there's nothing wrong with an extra show of love (you can all get the sick buckets out now - but it's better than all the insults going around at present)
