Having lived in Truro for a while, I sort of take a small interest in their affairs. When I left there in '95, City were a VERY average County league side. I think they must've had some kind of benefactor at the club as they're now in the 1st division of the Western league, which I reckon is 1-2 stages up the pyramid, but looking at their results I don't think they'll be at that level for long - let's just say they're not exactly struggling!

Can't really argue with an average of 5 goals for per game!!

I think their aim is to get to at least Conference level. The thing that's always held Cornish teams back (apart from being more interested in egg-chasing) is the costs involved in travelling to away fixtures. If this current chairman stumps up the readies, I think they could go far.
