Congratulations to AFC Bournemouth on securing promotion to the Premier League

It's not actually. The point is, there is no reason to be upset that Brighton have not been in the Prem yet. [that's if you think the Prem is not the same as Div 1 prior to 1992 which of course it isn't]

I'm not sure I follow.

Personally, I don't want to go to the Premiere League for selfish reasons. I do however understand that the Club needs to.

Please desist from spamming the board with childish drivel. First and final warning.
It's true I spend too much time on the board and some of the comments are drivel. However there is no doubt that the moderators are biased to their mates. If that makes you feel big then I hope you enjoy it.
It is totally ironic indeed that someone can make a comment then when one of your chums lays the boot in and gets a slap back, predictably you back up your mates.
If that gives you a sense of power then that makes you somewhat pathetic. Adios

Wouldn't it be funny if Charlton threw these people out?

Hi, back in peace.

Really enjoyed reading this lengthy thread. We got there in the end, and we'll enjoy however long we get in the top division.

I've been going since '71 and to be honest I'd still go (if I'm around!) if we went back to our 'level' or lower. Having money has been a nice change, but we all know it can be gone just like that. We're used to it.

Just to say genuinely I wish you the best for next season.

I'm happy for Bournemouth -congrats to them. It's also encouraging that a team can get to the top flight after recent adversity. Geniune congrats

However, it is a m1ndf*cker - There are supposed to be certain constants in football and one of them is that Bournemouth should be crap

I know! We're meant to be the sort of team that goes 180 minutes against Blyth Spartans, not only without scoring, but without looking like we're likely to score. Believe me when I say, we're all as confused as you are.

Congratulations once again.

Time now for the albion to note the lessons, get the friendly vs Middlesbrough out of the way, and draw a line under this miserable season at last.

It's all about the summer transfer window now.

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but driving home tonight, heard on Talksport that Bournemouth's wage bill doubled before the start of this season, so one can only assume it went up again this season. Also that the club's debt is 20 odd million, owed to the Russian owner. Now I know we owe Tony alot more than that, but I would be a little nervous if their owner gets bored and takes his money out at the end of next season. Not sour grapes on my part, I'm genuinely pleased for them, but this could end badly if they get relegated next season. Pompey MkII?

There was a piece on the BBC site earlier about it. The loan is repayable in 0ct 2017 so they'll have the Prem money to pay it all off, also all within FFP rules.
