Not Luton! Thank God
ISIS is a result of the chaos we (the west) created in Iraq, formally they were a tiny group, that turned into Al Qaeda In Iraq, after the occupation of Iraq, but even Al Qaeda has disowned them.
NOBODY is justifying anything. Using ISIS as your example is a bit weird. They murder muslims as well. In LARGE numbers. Currently on a murder spree against Sunni tribes in Anbar. They are also in the middle of what is essentially a vicious civil war, in several areas, against the Syrian and Iraqi govts, and against other jihadist groups, and the Kurds, all civil wars turn barbaric.
Why would there be 'westernaphobia', if not for deeds done in the past?

Why would there be 'Islamophobia', if not for deeds done in the past?

It goes back a lot further than that. 1914 when the Ottoman Empire was being divided up. Osama Bin Laden referred to the 1914 carve up in 2001 when he claimed responsibility for 9/11.

Think he is referring to the op...

Come man.. you can hardly call an area involved in a massive, and bloody civil war to be considered a territory to compare with a stable western society. On any level.

Country was a lot safer and nicer before Labour got in. They have left us with a lot of problems.

Labour left a lot of problems but id say people feel safer on the streets now than when the ira were operating in mainland Britain in the 80's and 90's.

I certainly don't feel safer. May be I'm getting old but feels like to me the severity of crimes back down here in Sussex are a lot worse than they used to be.

Maybe if you went to some inner city areas you might retract that statement:rolleyes: I know places in liverpool where people working in local convenience shops are behind bullet proof screens???

Wow. As an attempt to justify the oppression in those societies that's on a par with saying the Holocaust was simply culturally appropriate behaviour for Nazis.

There is a huge difference between explaining something and justifying it. Often lost on NSC but a clear distinction that is relevant here.

If you choose to ignore the reasons for a problem then it will never be solved.
