bush joke

The irony of Afghanistan is that they were better off under the russians.

Outside of kabul the taliban are making a comeback, and in other areas the warlords are consolidating their power, and genuine freedom is still a pipe dream for most of the population. And I would suspect that iraq is now a higher priority with the budget makers of the west and funding will not reach the levels required to ensure the transformation of that country.

To be honest Looney the hands of both left and right are drenched in blood and torture and there is very little moral high ground left to be in the western powers. Both the US and European countries have been perfectly happy to back despots and unseat democratically elected governments when it suits them.

What we should be doing now is learning the lessons from all this bitterness, war and hate. But alas we seem to be locked into a cycle of ill-thought out , selfish macho cycle of violence, with apparently no end in sight.

Bull shit

That would be the Taliban created in Pakistani Madrasses(religous schools) by the ISI(Pakistani secret service) under the rule of fellow Pashtun.........wait for it............Benaziar Buhtto.

Reading stockport you are incredibly ignorant sometimes.

The madrasses in pakistan like many others around the world are funded by Saudi oil money and the saudi benefactors influence the teaching in these religious schools. The Saudi's are known for their Wahabi branch of Islam. Wahhabism is a fundamentaist reading of Islam and is a ideological source for al qaida and it's allies.
The wealth of the saudis is derived from the us thirst for oil.
It is not a great jump therefore to acuse the US of being responsible for the upsurge in redical islamic fundamentalism and its associated terrorists

strange that the photo Looney posted is exactly the same as the one the Guardian puyblished yesterday . . . . .except the one in the guardian had a US soldier pointing at an Iraqi civillian curled up on the floor, the smug yank wanker had a grin on his face and was chewing a match

it depends what you choose to read and believe me thinks.

it takes 2 to fight, only one to war
