Bristol City, will it be pay on the gate?

Used to be Swindonseagull
I spoke to the BCFC ticket office this morning and they said they "didn't see why it wouldn't be pay on the gate" but advised coming early because of traffic and because they expected up to 2K Brighton fans (the away end holds up to 2.8K). In total they seem likely to have a crowd of c15K in a ground with a 22K capacity! Not clear why it would be a problem but then that is logically thinking and since when did the average football club box office deal in logic when issueing conflicting advice was an option :)

BTW if I try to buy my tickets through BHAFC box office on line I have to pay full price (£25 each). I can't get through on the phone but if I pay at Ashton Gate on the day my one senior and two junior tickets will cost £20 and £10 each respectively - a total saving of £35!

I guess it also depends on who answers the phone as to what information you are given..

One good thing though the phone was answered in about 10 seconds..

please get back in your box and stop questioning why my mates want to watch Brighton...

The question was, is it likley to be pay on the gate? you are trying to be funny with your reply...sorry to say its not working, you are just annoying.

Maybe you dont have mates who want to watch a succesful entertaining team?

Dear twat

Firstly, I wasn't even talking to you,and if I was I would have started with the response Dear Twat.

Secondly, learn how to read, if you could you would see I never questioned why your mates want to watch Brighton. I questioned suppaseagull as to why he is questioning your mates.

Thirdly, what successful team are you on about? Swindon? I am a STH for Brighton as are quite a few of my mates, and last time I checked our club is quite a bit more successful that Swindon at the moment.

The humour about Di Canio might not be funny to you as you probably dream of sucking him off every night, but it might be to others, so if you don't like it jog on.

As for your question about pay on the gate you, you should probably stay at home cause you seem like the type that might cause trouble and we don't need that type of scum around our club.

In summary, LEARN HOW TO READ, AND GET A LIFE TWAT!!!

Certainly does..........Naylor on his Q&A says they were told it is advance payments only.........................thing is that was the starting position before every away game last season and so far this. It's a ploy presumably so they can get their staff numbers and food & drink orders etc sorted. Can't think of any other real benefits though because deterring fans turning up on the day is just pissing money away. A Bristol supporting friend of mine down in Somerset says he has never bought a ticket in advance in forty odd years of supporting them if that helps? - could be exaggerating though :)
