Not much of it so it can probably be dismantled fairy quickly and easily.

It just looks like a massive erection.

Still think that the i360 should of been taller.
The money they will charge will be for a view not that much better than you will get from the top of Sussex Heights.

You could get away with something like that in Vegas, but the more you look at it now it just looks out of place. Also looks very bland from an architectural point of view.

The pod seems too small for the pole. I thought it would extend outwards more.

Got to admit, up close it does look on the small size scale wise, it's made the pole look less slender - given it wasn't looking that slender anyway. Once in motion it might be fine, but did think the same thing.

Remember having a little snigger when Portsmouth Council had to admit defeat and remove the external lift on the Spinnaker Tower

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-hampshire-19559042

I’m sure that Brighton Council have made sure such an embarrassment could not happen on the i360.

if I was to see the i360 for the first time with no clue with what it was, I would probably think it was a decommisend chimney with an external lift / viewing pod built on to it.

I reckon it was a publicity stunt. Quotes in the story I saw were from British Airways (the sponsor), as opposed to anyone from the actual company, and they're not pressing charges.

Mind you, I'm a massive cynic about most stuff these days...
