I don’t like to put any sort of negative tone on events at such a great moment, but the biggest change came when AliJ was substituted. He’d had a poor game, could have been sent off, and Lallana made such a difference and Zeqiri also did well.
Potter has given Ali J a chance in the last few games and it seems he is simply not up to it. Moder and Zeqiri are better players. Trossard today had one of his best games. The goal and reaction from the fans lifted him to a new level.
