This is the best I’ve ever eaten: https://rosebudpreserves.co.uk/traditional-piccalilli

While talking about Rosebud, their jams and marmalades are outstanding too.

PS have you moved to America recently?
What I need is the next Europa League game to be trainable from London....so my friends can act as mules for the English products I need; there's no 100ml ban on the train so I stocked up on a few items.

Branston pickle is meh, but in contrast to other posters, I have to say that Branston Beans > Heinz Beans by an order of magnitude.

No; your spelling…
Doh, you mean favorite/favourite. No, I haven’t moved to the US.

Getting back in topic I’ll try and get some of this piccalilli. With some corned beef hash I think it will make a nice appetizer.

Love it. So much so that I don't buy it more than once a year.

We have a big jar now - bought as an accompaniment to Boxing Day bubble and squeak - and, since then, I've been going at it straight from the jar with a spoon. I've nearly finished it now.

Have relatively recently rediscovered it from buying some before Christmas. There’s nothing better with mature cheddar cheese…..

still like other chutneys and things too, though.

Update; I returned from the school run, went straight to the kitchen, grabbed a spoon and finished it all.

That's me and Branston done until December 26th. We just can't be around each other - it gets messy.
