He was also banging on about how they only had a small squad and were tired because they had played 3games in the week before. Mmmm much the same as every other league club -> bell end I can see there being unrest at uptown park this season.

how can he say that he deals in "reality"

this is the man that thinks he should be manager of england/man u/chelsea/real madrid/inter milan

that's pretty far from reality when you're manager of a championship club, your last job was blackburn, and before that newcastle where you got sacked

complete idiot and football dinosaur

Plenty of time for him to sort this out, in fairness.

Didn't like his CMS comments obviously, but he's done a good job wherever he's been. Even at Newcastle, the decision to sack him was completely ABSURD.

I suspect Sam's big problem is his bitterness at not being offered a job at a big club. It's clear that in his mind , he is one of the top managers of the last decade and that it is unfair that he has been ignored by the really big clubs. I would guess that he sees himself as the natural successor to Alex Fergusen and feels, deep down that it is a travesty that he has to prove himself at West Ham, a club where he will inevitably win promotion at the first attempt and then turn into a top ten Premier league side.

I would love it, really love it if West Ham stayed down....Beating them in the play off final would really be the cherry on the cake, with CMS scoreing the winner.

It would be even better if they went down!!!

His spat in his insufferable newspaper column with Wenger was priceless. The highlight was when he was saying that he has the calibre to manage Barcelona/Real, then saying that Wenger doesn't have specialists in his staff like psychologists, therapists etc. No-one does it scientifically like Sam.

The obvious rebuke - that Wenger for once graciously didn't make himself - was "where are your league titles and other assorted trophies then Sam?"

A tool who emulates the high priest of tools (see TV boycotts etc), Slur Alex Ferguson, who he is also bestest muckers with

The 'old-school managers' are dead. See Allardyce, Bruce, etc etc ...

There's a new way to play. The sooner the FA realise this re the England squad the better.
Someone had better tell Tony Pullis, because his team doesn't struggle in the Premiership and gets to Cup semi finals and is not exactly struggling in Europe either.

There is more than one way to play the game, and I have no problem with direct, robust teams doing there thing, providing they are good at it. Just don't expect to win World Cups with these sort of players, that's all.

He plays a brand of football that will almost certainly avoid relegation.

And for that reason alone he should never become a manager of one of the top sides or heaven forbid England.

Bit like against leeds, westham's style of football is so old school,no wonder they struggle to win at home as the fans hate that dire football.
