Rather bizzarrely, i did find this.

Maybe Chuck Norris as actually scared of Steven Seagull?

He actually says "Brightons gonna score again "

And Brighton DO score!
How prophetic is Chuck eh?
He didn't look pleased though... maybe he had a buck on us not scoring.... which might explain why the Goldstone got sold and we nearly went under

It's time we had some Norris facts;

Nothing can escape the gravity of a black hole, except Chuck Norris. He eats black holes. They taste like chicken.
Chuck Norris can touch M.C. Hammer
Chuck once punched a horse on the chin. It's known today as the giraffe

I'm not one for silly goal celebrations on big screens or sound systems...but a bit of Chuck Norris going Oh No Brighton's Gonna Score Again just before the opposing team restart the game would be funny.

Go on TB. Buy the broadcasting rights to that clip.

A while back someone told me of a Chuck Norris called Forced Vengeance that had a scene featuring a Brighton match playing on the TV. I spent ages and ages hunting down the film and I have finally found it. In the clip Brighton score a goal against a team in Red and I was wondering if anyone might know who we were playing and maybe who scored.

Think it's us v Forest away 1981..2-1 to Forest, Gordon Smith scored for us first

Yes. It's amazing. I saw this a few years back and had my doubts. I starting thinking that maybe the player was called Brighton and it was fictional as I too thought it was the Utd game, but then I just thought sod it, and just convinced myself it was Brighton.

Thanks for 'Chucking' this up. :D

This is an incredible find. Thank you! I've just updated the page at Seagulls TV - 1981/82 to give robbyblobby111 credit.

But remember, Honey Badgers keep Chuck Norris as a pet.

Please can we have more threads like this, can I nominate it for gold status?

Having no knowledge of this film, why would three Americans be sitting around watching 'soccer' and actually caring about the result? Is that section of the film set in the UK? Have they bet big on a Forest victory? Is Chuck wearing his lucky Brian Clough underpants?

Great find! Haha.

So apart from this and that Simpsons episode, are there any other sports-themed appearances by our city / county in the world of fiction?!

Our half-time score gets read out in Threads, the film about a nuclear bomb dropping on Sheffield.

Looking at the summary Forced Vengeance (1982) - IMDb it appears the film is set in Hong Kong.

Josh Randall [Norris] works for the owner of a Hong Kong based casino and is treated like a son. When the owner is approached by someone who's connected and wants to buy his casino, the man refuses the offer. Later the owner and son are killed. Josh then gets the man's daughter and tries to protect her. Later Josh is pursued by the police and anyone who helps is killed. Josh tries to get to the people who did it.

This is the thing that really baffled me! Why are they watching it?!

I'm really pleased with everyone responses, worth the effort of hunting it down! It'd be great to have a banner at the Amex with Chuck Norris professing his fear of our scoring ability!
