For anyone who never saw Alex Dawson play for the Albion (I did) watch the Munich programmes on BBC4 tomorrow - he scored in the first Man U game after the tragedy. Superb programme too.

I used to enjoy watching Charlie and Alex Dawson when they played for the Albion. They were the kind of forwards who seemed like they would run through a brick wall to get to the ball, not like some of the prima donnas in the Premiership today.

Charlie Livesey was a big star when i started watching but it was coming to the end of his career so I only saw a couple of games. Seems he was quite a character.
Alex Dawson was one of my 1st heroes. Quite short for a centre forward but 'stocky' and hard as nails, diving headers a speciallity.
