To a point I can agree it is snobbery, only because the term "Chav" seems to be widening to include people who wear trainers that I don't like.

True Chavs, the ones before the phrase really took off, are a bunch of aggressive little wankers and deserve to be given a good kicking. And you cannot deny that.

Anyone else aware of recent legislation passed banning nominated young offenders from wearing baseball caps around town? It has been introduced in at least six UK cities, one of which is Brighton, and is designed to make these individuals more easily identifiable on CCTV.

Could this be the end of local Chavism as we know it?

Every country has it's own form of Chav's; a subculture who contribute little to society but take from it without thanks or thought. They drain our Social Security resources through idolness not discrimination or disadvantage. They clog our streets and shopping centres and harrass the vulnerable. They piss in our front gardens and vandalise our buildings and cars. They threaten our teachers and give them nervous breakdowns. They waste valuable Police and National Health resources. In this country they are, rightly, afforded the same benefits, equality and protection by the law as any other citizen. They deserve no more. I am a socialist and I wouldn't miss them if they all disappeared.

Yes and unfortunately most East European Chavs are ending up here due to our obscene immigration laws - in Eastbourne you've got Lithuanian/Romanian/Bosnian Chavs buying up 1993's Fila and Adidas Chav ranges from charity shops by the bucketload.

As for not missing them if they disappeared, London Road McDonalds certainly would.
