Standard Liege have rejected a £2.2m bid from Brighton for former Leicester City winger Anthony Knockaert.

Very reliable Twitter feed. They only tweet stories that have come from a credible source.

According to our colleagues from Reuters, the Standard has just refused an offer of € 2.25 million of a Championship club for ... Anthony Knockaert.

The dull part of the south coast
It's like we're throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks.

What a strange comment. Unless you are involved with the club in bringing in new players how the hell do you (or I, or anyone else) know what is going on behind the scenes.

It gets a bit tedious that in every transfer window the club are seen as dragging their feet if a player hasn't signed within a day of the window opening. Surely if terms and contracts need to be sorted out and agreed then it's obvious it's going to be behind closed doors and under wraps.

A bit of patience is required, methinks, by some of us in this matter. Trust the club, they seem to have done alright so far this season.

Yes, they have done well but so much is riding on this transfer window if we are to stand a realistic prospect of reaching the promised land this time.
