Well deserved lads. I feel a lot better knowing that the poor defence in the last three games is because you have been pissed or hungover for the last three games...but I don't care!! Be ready for pre-season though...

Thursday.

Oooh, I'm working on Thursday. I might have to STALK them off the plane and check out their levels of drunkenness so I can report back what an utter DISGRACE to football they are.

Albion are currently on a four-day training break in Southern Spain, taking advantage of a first-rate training facility used by the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, as part of Poyet's preparations for his assault on the Championship.

"It was something we planned earlier in the season, and gives the players a different environment to train in. We are training every day and will use the break to see where we are in terms of fitness, so we can plan for next season.

"It also gives Tano, Charlie and me the opportunity to sit down and have individual meetings and assessments with each of the players over the course of the four days."

No pictures of Glenn Murray, probably at Southampton negotiating his contract with them next season

Is it? My abiding memory of Marbella is that it was full of Brits, teeming with holiday properties and high rise apartments. Certainly not my choice of destination and I wouldn't want to go back.

A warm August afternoon with me and my then girlfriend, now Wife. Sauntering in Marbella's Square of Oranges. Paella , Rioja and a black suited guitarist playing a combination of Flamenco and Albeniz. An abiding memory of mine from the 80s. Probably full of KFC and MacDonalds now mind?

Old town still the same & the new part surprising free of KFC etc. Not a Starbucks etc to be seen, who would pay their prices when any Spanish bar serves real coffee for 1 or 1.5 euros a go. Sometimes have breakfast there if visiting, tostada con tomate & coffee 2.50 euros. Can't beat it. As for the new town & beach area, still very Spanish, it's the Fuengirolas you need for the true British bars, crap food & polystyrene cupped 'coffee'.
