Ridiculous money. Former MK Dons player Dele Alli's current run of form has done Charlton no harm whatsoever, yet for every League 1 gem there's a CMS - I see the former Labrador has scored just 4 times in 37 appearances since leaving us.

Lookman looks like a great prospect. 11 Million is mad amounts of money, Sky and BT have really managed to up the amount that premiership clubs can now spend.

We will end up with a huge dwarf between the Premier League and those below.

Brentford must be wringing their hands. £11m for Lookman must mean Hogan is worth £15m+

Solly is as good, a fit season from him and he will be worth that if not more..
Solly is older though.

Lookman's fee is so high because he is young enough not to count towards the PL 25 man squad numbers.

Not much older....solly is 3 years older but still only 22...
Yes, but Solly counts as a full 25 man squad member. Lookman has 2 years not counting towards the squad limit.

Players like that have a premium fee.

I think I've had a bit of an idiom-mare there.

I believe I meant rubbing their hands.

That's more like it.

I have a mate who constantly mixes his idioms. Things like 'a bird in the hand spoils the broth.' Trouble is he's an English teacher.

He certainly doesn't sound like the brightest knife in the barrel.

Could be a great player for them, tore us apart at the Amex in that first half December 2015 and we never forgot it. May also turn out to be a bargain for Everton at that price.
