What a great job he did yesterday, I was sorry to see him subbed, he really rattled Carroll.

I thought the commentators were totally out of order in their condemnation of Adam, if he hadn't of stood up to Carroll then we would have shipped more in the first half and what he was doing you see in the box every Saturday up and down the country. IMO Carroll was going out of his way to get AEA booked and the commentators fell for it. Luckily the ref didn't.

Top lad Adam.

I thought he did an excellent job along with GG up against one of the most physical strikers in the Premiership. Unfortunately, it was Lewis who looked a bit lightweight up against Carroll, but he is in his first season and still young and learning.

El Abd and Greer for Hull please

i thought AEA coped with carroll very well, alittle surprised not to see either dunk or greer pick him up at corners

don't know why carroll doesn't just screw his nut, insead of standing there like a human windmill

surely if he stands just outside the box at corners and makes runs inside,he'd get a penalty from time to time

He was great against Carroll. He's a beast of a bloke, strong as an Ox and a far better player than most give him credit for - and to quote Gus yet again "The best defender at the club". And he knows how to wind people up. Let's just stop playing him out of position and give him a proper run at CB.

Carroll went down so easy. He would have scored as couple more if he had not always been looking for the foul. Adam was great.

I was actually shocked that AEA came off instead of Dunk. I'd like to hope its because he wanted to keep him fresh for Hull.

Dunk had a poor, poor game (like he did at Millwall) but he is still young, learning and clearly very talented. I just think that AEA is the better defender at the moment.

AEA Was superb against Carroll. A beastly MOSTER of a man.

Can I also just say that (and I may have missed a post on this), that Adam El-Abd made his 250th start for Brighton in all matches last week at Leeds United (284 appearances in total, 6 goals).

Not bad for someone once written off as shite.

Agreed - I'm confused what the commentators were suggesting the ref should do about it - El Abd didn't do ANYTHING foul-worthy, he is incredibly clever, always makes sure he stays just the right side of the rulebook in terms of fouls/being an annoying twat to strikers.

He was being sexually molested during the game by someone with a worse pornstar hairdo than David Seaman.

His discipline stats - 57 yellows, 2 reds.
Reached 10 yellows in a season twice.

You forgot that he is a liability as well that always gets sent off and if the stats prove other wise it is only a matter of time before he gets loads and costs us. YEAH, NSC logic and footballing intelligence!

If I read your somewhat confusing post correctly you seem to be suggesting that we shouldn't be congratulating AEA on his performances of late due to his poor disciplinary record. OK, what about the others that have been sent off this season? Shall we not praise Sparrow, Greer, Dunk, etc when they have a good game?

Why did they keep showing the jostling at corners between Carroll and AEA. They didnt show it when Stoke were doing it against Crawley

Hilarious, but it was Carroll who was trying to shake off being touched/hugged.
