Best and most positive piece of news to come out of the club in a long while. Absolutely fantastic news. Now let's invest something into our first team and everyone will be happy.

Is £3000 still the going rate for prospects from lesser (palace) academies?

:lolol:

Well done the club.

The academy pathway is fully open. We might well see Walton playing a lot of games in the Championship. How do people feel about that? I'll say **** it - let's see what the England u19 keeper can do in the fierce heat of the most competitive league in the world. If he swims then he could be our next big pay cheque.

Not ready yet, he needs to fill out a bit (quite a bit) and get better at deciding when to catch and when to punch.

U18s are in the league below Chelsea and Arsenal apparently. They're playing Blackburn and the likes so not putting themselves against the bigger clubs.

Great news, a crucial development and a massive achievement. It's also a wake-up call for those posters who think Burke and Co sit around all day with their thumbs up their arses.

This makes me feel quite emotional. Tony has delivered a club that will deliver for generations and generations. He could have been happy being very rich Etc, but he's chosen to build a club for the community. It's a phenomenal achievement, and this is Tony's legacy
