Didnt even know he was at Celtic. Thats a good move for him at 32.
Yeah and he is thriving there.

Very good footballer, in terms of vision there's not many that competes with him. Can find a slick through ball from any position.

Would have excelled with Brighton if he wasn't as slow as it gets.

Very similar to, but not as good as, our Pascal.

His was a strange signing. He was great on loan, and not so great once he signed permanently.

I think his dip in performance was a bit exaggerated. Not like he tore the PL apart when he was on loan and not like he was as shite as some said when he signed permanently. Lamptey and Mooy only played like 300-400 minutes together but I still don't think I've seen someone who could find a perfect ball to a running Lamptey the way Mooy did over and over.

Only reason did not perform as well on his return was Potter often played him wide left. Not sure who he favoured to play centrally at the time

Collected enough money from his stint in China on top of his other wages to be able to retire without any money worries for the rest of his life.

Goodbye Aaron you oddball. A man who seemed to have exactly equivalent amounts of head hair, personality and pace. A great player in the midfield gaps unless paired with Gross, in which case you were watching Graham Potter’s Walking Football. Went to China just in time for their massively oppressive Zero Covid Policy to become an outlier instead of global health policy.

Still, he’s retired at 32 so there’s no doubt who the real winner is here.
