One each for Anderson and Broad this morning. Woakes into the attack.

Yes, after Lord's, what odds would you have got on this performance?

Not too surprising. England played poorly and obviously were better than that. Lord's is never a good ground for us and we have a good record at Old Trafford. Anderson and Stokes also due back. There was always going to be a reaction.

Winning the toss and batting was also key.

Time to get Broad back into the action, the game is drifting.

Should have enforced the follow on, Anderson and Broad haven't bowled for two hours. Weather will come into it.

Baffling muddled thinking from Cook.

Just come home, and to my shock discovered no follow on! what in Gods name is Cook thinking about. We are one down in a series of four, the game is there to be won. With the Pakistanis needing to hold out for two days and a session to avoid defeat. If the skies open and it pizzes down and we don't win, I'd suggest he swaps jobs with Phil Tufnell!

Cook is going to get a very hard time if we don't win this now. Mad decision to bat again

Cook appears to not favour enforcing the follow on as he has done this a number of times. In fairness we have usually gone on to win by a handsome number of runs but surely it makes life more difficult to bowl them out for the 4th innings even if , which is unlikely, they had set us to bat again following on..
