For some reason Corbyn is treating this as some form of student union sit in.

Rallying thousands of socialist workers or people like the student leader who started their speech with 'im not a labour member' does not a labour party protest make.

If only corbyn had campaigned for remain as much as he's working to save his sorry arse

Have to agree with that. Some of the stories coming out suggesting his aides were doing all they could to undermine the Remain campaign seem to imply that Corbyn was using the referendum for his own political ambitions just as much as the sham that it is Boris Johnson!

I'm going to join the Labour party to vote against him this time. If the members of a party can't elect a proper leader then the voters have to step in. He can't claim 250,000 votes is a massive mandate when 9.5 million people voted for the Labour party a year ago and I bet a firm majority of us want someone else.

I loved that there was a different conversation happening, that some socialist ideas were making it to the top table. But he has ended up trying to turn the Labour party into a branch of the socialist workers party, and he just can't do that, Labour is a broad church that covers many points of view on the left and he needed to lead as such.

I am going to do the same, I hope someone starts petition. I was not against him at the start, he needed a chance, but has not taken party forward or put up a good enough opposition. Now he has shown, he is not putting the party first, if you can't command the support of your parliamentary party, what's the point of doing the job.

I'm going to join the Labour Party and see if I can get a job as a front bencher.

There was a waiting time but a much shorter one than the Tories have. IIRC, it was about 10 days - the Tories have a three-month one.

IMO, what Corbyn should do is stand again but the election should only be open to members (not £3 supporters). If he gets a majority then, the PLP should shut up. If he doesn't, then he can go knowing he's lost the support of members.

I also think that the anti-Corbyn forces should put up one candidate as two or three will attack each other and dilute the attack on Corbyn. It then becomes a straight choice for the members and everyone can unite behind a legitimate leader.
