I think it's positive that they do some (monitored professionally) home training. Given the spare afternoons they have, it's either that, crouch over FIFA on the PlayStation, El golf with Lallana and Milner, chat up the women's team, play online poker with Bloom, set up an NSC account (e.g. 'Not...
Being pretty self-critical I reckon Mitoma was determined to get the better of Wan Bissaka this game - and he did IMO, played him much better that in the semi. But I think this focus distracted him from getting his head up and finding his teammates in better positions. A bit harsh from me maybe...
On the pitchside video Enciso looked pretty disgusted with Mitoma a couple of times for not passing to him when close to goal - and Enciso is soooo good at protecting the ball. Fantastic young player.
And I find it amazing that he looks (well IS) more rapid now than when he played in the younger groups or friendlies. I think it's down to confidence: "I'm good to beat these guys..." and he is 👍
It's jolly exciting isn't it?... we're debating many team setup's, each with their own merits...this team doesn't pick itself anymore. A headache for De Zerbi but a nice one 👍👍
Yes, the change looks significant in a relatively short time. I can't get to live games but remember well from a highlights video how he went through that RB 👍. And the coaches have got his head up and passing - I think it's all a remarkable improvement.
Is it just me...he looks a foot taller as he's grown in confidence through recent performances. Defences will be as worried having Enciso running at them as Mitoma... possibly more so.
I'm sure the club will make a sound decision. But Potter said maybe the club should have played Caicedo earlier...he was more PL ready than they thought at first. That thought may influence their Enciso decision. We'll know soon enough ;)).
