I had to queue for around 45 mins (10 mins to check in and 30 for the actual jab).....the queue was all inside though, not outside, and the jabs are upstairs. You won’t get any idea going past of how busy it is.
Possibly, possibly not......you won’t know how long you’ve had it, and the tests aren’t anywhere near 100% accurate. Most importantly though it has no bearing on the risk to you personally.
The Qcovid tool is interesting to use.........gives me a 1 in 11,000 chance of dying from Covid.
Data is already showing that you’re taking a far greater risk in not having the vaccine........but it has to be a personal choice.
I think herd immunity will kick in soon (if it hasn’t already - the drop in infections despite schools opening possibly indicates it already has) which potentially...
Racecourse vaccination site is walk-in for Group 6 (O50) today and tomorrow apparently - no appointment needed

Massively irresponsible tweet from someone who has been whoring herself to any media outlet that wants an ‘expert’ view........smacks of more attention-seeking, but will understandably be worrying the hell out of a lot of people, almost certainly unnecessarily given available data on vaccine...
Absolute shambles.........the ‘secret stockpile destined for the UK’ was actually......going to the EU.

We were pressing way,way ahead of schedule - the shortage might bring us back to 'on track' - it's not really shaky at all - we'll still likely hit the original timetable/commitments. Focus for the shortage period (around a month) will switch to making sure second doses are done within the 12...
Take it - one jab out of about 150 million ultimately isn't going to make an iota of difference to anyone else. Your condition legitimately clearly puts you in an early cohort so absolutely nothing to feel guilty about.
Second jabs ARE going to be administered - the slowdown will be in first...
The expected slowdown in the UK vacc programme in April is being caused by 10m doses due from the Serum Institute in India not being supplied as expected (being stockpiled in India due to a spike in infections there and a subsequent potential expansion in their own programme).
Can 100% see why they would follow up on people that haven't booked (I was sent a text by my GP last week apparently but never got it, they called me yesterday to ask why I hadn't booked) - but not so much if they've actively rejected............
A month of low supplies - sounds as though the overall targets will still be met but will slip back to 'on track' rather than racing ahead like we have been. Think this also kills any chance of planned lockdown easing being speeded up (if there ever was any).
Not ideal but not a big panic...
News reports saying supplies will be 'significantly constrained' week beginning 29th March...................focus will switch to second doses due so O40s may have to wait a while.
This is the absolute key.......even if you're one of the unlucky 20 or 30-odd percent who still catch it, you're very, very unlikely to end up in hospital and even less likely dead.
