    I get the sentiment but that would have meant we wouldn’t have been allowed to go to Gillingham and Withdean. The Albion would have folded when the Goldstone was sold.

    I think that’s true. I had a conversation with a Tranmere fan who was very surprised that I had watched the Albion play at Prenton Park in the league. Lots of respect from Liverpool and Everton fans as well although they do tend to lump us in with Palace as difficult teams to play against.

    What spending in included in ‘club infrastructure ?’ I had the impression they had spent quite a bit on transfer fees and salaries under Ashley. I might be wrong.
