Marseille away. Our first competitive game away in Europe. The atmosphere in that ground was simply unforgettable. An iconic stadium, a great fight back on the night and beautiful weather too. An absolutely magical away trip.

Very loud fireworks at 1am near the Velodrome. Presumably, the Albion players are staying nearby.

Well done to the club for producing such a wonderful programme. It is a brilliant souvenir. Highly recommended. The poster in the programme, drawn by Brighton illustrator Jamie Eke, is absolutely superb. I wish they had used this as the front cover of the programme. That would have been awesome!

Personally, I will always remember the large number of Charlton fans that turned up to support Brighton at the ‘Fans United’ game in 1997. If we have to lose, then I would rather it was Charlton than anyone else. Good luck in the rest of the competition.

Absolutely right. Let’s have some balance here. Solly scored in the penalty shootout at Millwall in the FA Cup Quarter Final at Millwall. The pressure on him was much, much greater that day. It was a Quarter final in a more prestigious competition and the atmosphere there was raucous!!
