No need ! Yes , I read the thread - just wondering why the op was using VGA - hdmi instead of hdmi-hdmi . The reply re : where to buy adaptors was to poster Cullip4. Thanks for your concern though .

Does your laptop have no hdmi output - if it does a standard hdmi cable will do the trick. As for obtaining adaptors , Maplin is the place ( Maplin™ - The Electronics Specialist ) , there's a branch on London road if you're in Brighton.

The Troc is pretty good for the city centre, beware of wearing any colours in town though lots of door fools get a bit pissy especially on a Friday (something to do with the local goons being unable to behave themselves probably).

White horse is always good for rugby, never watched footie there. I live fairly close to the Navigation so could check that out . There's a pub in Selly Oak called the Bristol Pear which has a number of screens including a separate upstairs bar ... Could be good , could also be full of students !

Sorry dude , didn't see your thread from yesterday . There is the 'sports bar' but that's on Broad st which is best avoided on a Friday( best avoided any time tbh!) . I'm in Cotteridge so want to avoid town if possible .

Oh god , I really feel for u guys . I travelled down on Saturday morning from Birmingham & was 50/50 whether to get off at 9 or carry down to 8 , how bad could it be I thought . OH persuaded me to get off at 9 . Glad I listened for a change !
