    Port Vale player ratings

I was impressed with Ince and Forster-Caskey in the middle. Young lad who scored the flukey second also had a good game, but 100% a cross for his goal.

**** Port Vale FC v Brighton and Hove Albion FC **** FA Cup

The better side won in awful weather. We huffed and puffed but never really threatened bar for set plays and the odd moment. We gave away 3 soft goals but equally our keeper has made 3 good saves so no complaints on the result. Thought we might have had a pen first half but doubt it would have...

    tickets sold for 2mow

From a Vale perspective I think 1,000 pre sales is pretty respectable. Great to see BHA on the rise in recent years. Great memories of promotion at the Goldstone and of your return party at our place a decade or so back.

most away fans at a brighton home game

We pretty much filled one side of the ground, as well as having a few seats behind one end in 1994. No official count was ever given because I'm not sure one was possible as more and more of the side of the ground had to be opened to accommodate us. Estimates always seem to bounce between...

JS's American Express Community Stadium Watch No.121 (11/5/11) Inside "Mega" Special.

Wow - new place is looking class guys. Really pleased for the club and the town that not only have you finally got a home but you'll have Championship football to boot. Hopefully going to get down for a game or two next season whilst visiting family - looks like a cracking place to visit.

Micky Adams back at Port Vale ?

As one of the occasional Vale to visit here, have to say I'm underwhelmed by Adams' potential return. Once bitten, twice shy and all that I guess. In all honesty, he left us a squad with virtually no goals in it. He never gave youth a chance and of course he jumped at the 1st time of asking...

    Congratulations from PVFC

Well done boys and girls from a Vale fan - pleased to see a proper football club getting back onto it's feet. Long overdue. Always had a soft spot for the Seagulls after the grace you showed we won promotion at your place in '94. New stadium and the Championship - job well done for Gus. Shame...

    Micky Adams

Fraser has done okay - a great captain and becoming a bit of a cult hero - helped greatly by Franny Jeffers getting sent off for nutting him and Fraser just standing his ground. Personally, I'd like to see him doing a bit more with the ball - shooting or going for the killer pass - has played...

    Micky Adams

With the squad he inherited, and the previous 2 seasons gone, he's doing nothing short of miraculously. Bar for a couple of late equaliser's we'd be in the playoffs, and through in the FA cup, and having beaten 2 Championship sides in the League Cup. Still very much a work in progress, but...

    Tommy Fraser Scores!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No he didn't, it was touched on it's way in by Richards. Fraser himself has said it was Richards goal. Last night was his first for us.

    Fraser signs for Port Vale

Frase has done well so far - still looks a little short of match fitness having missed a chunk of pre-season. Fooking awesome captain though - always getting the lads going. Former captain is on the bench, former vice captain is on fire with 5 in 8. Loft is also starting to shine - Man of the...

Craig Davies - What has he done wrong?

Funny you should say that as we need a striker, and his name has been mentioned on a Vale site tonight. I wonder if we will be taking another one off your hands? On a tangent, both Fraser and Loft have settled well - Loft was star man yesterday. Fraser still needs a bit of fitness having missed...

    Fraser signs for Port Vale

Captain? That would be an interesting one given both the current captain and vice captain are still with us. I like the sound of Hinsh - we were going for a lad from Morecambe who follows the Vale and had all but signed for us but it's all gone quiet since Adams took over. I hope al the BHA...

    Fraser signs for Port Vale

Interesting reading again chaps. We've got bugger all in midfield as it is, so he's not facing much great competition. Where do Hinshelwood and Loft play?

Micky Adams is going to Port Vale

Yep, which when you've had 3 novices in a row since Horton is a huge step forward for us. He hasn't got a hard act to follow, and for League 2 he's got a club with the set-up to progress. We just need someone to kick the club into shape on the field like he did in his first couple of jobs.

    Port Vale doomed?

There have been better years than the last two with us going down, and then struggling in League 2, and them going up, and staying up at what turned out to be a canter. Still, what goes around comes around. Hopefully when they do fall out the top flight, it'll be a one way ticket through a...

Micky Adams is going to Port Vale

And with all due respect what would you do? Continue a loose coaching advisory job with a school and wait for the new term's football in September, or take a managerial job with a professional team?

    Port Vale doomed?

Sounds just like Glover. Should fit right in. Hopefully a change of scene will help. Often a mistake to go back to a club where you had past glories.

    Port Vale doomed?

Evening all, Curious Vale fan in peace. Some interesting reading on our new Messiah. Have to admit I'm surprised at some of the negative stuff, hadn't realised it had gone so wrong for him last season. Vale fans by and large are delighted, though after the succession of dross managers we...
