[Humour] The Official Dad's (of toddlers) thread

Great thread. In the middle of having two under two at the moment. Know the words to Stick Man off by heart, watched more Sesame Street than anyone should be subjected to and not sure I’ve slept past 6 in two years. Wouldn’t change a thing though.

    [Albion] Infighting amongst our fans

We were going through the turnstiles about an hour or so before kick off and just as we were about to be searched one of the Brighton stewards instructed “no more checks, let’s just get them in”. I imagine if you went before this cut off you got checked, everyone after probably didn’t.

I managed to complete the form luckily, and this is the message that appeared once I did.

[Albion] Why I am a Seagulls fan

I was fully with you until the Patriots thing ;) Seriously though, love hearing stuff like this. Tomorrow is going to be proper special.

[Albion] Songs in concourse on Saturday

I heard two different versions of the “We’ve got super…” song. The people around me in the stand were singing “We’ve got super Bob De Zerbi” with “Welbeck in attack” and then outside it was “Super Rob De Zerbi” with “Fergie in attack”.

[Albion] Euro 3 match ticket download

For those still waiting for the email I would recommend using the web chat feature on the ticket site. Connected to someone straight away yesterday afternoon and tickets were sent over in about 5 minutes. They didn’t confirm, but I think the issue was that I purchased a league away ticket in the...

[Albion] Newcastle's slow ticket sales / new penalties for handing on tickets

Without knowing how many people in each band it’s difficult to comment too much, but it appears the tickets sales for their trip to the San Siro are also quite slow.

[Football] Points Needed for Away Europa League games?

I meant in respect of having to sort out c3000 ticket collections on the day of a game in another city. Wasn’t meant as a dig, just that the FA are used to doing that and we obviously aren’t.

[Football] Points Needed for Away Europa League games?

Yeah I’ve never had any problems with it. Well organised with no dramas. Yes sometimes the queue can be pretty long but if you can go the day before it’s dead simple. I did wonder when the club announced the “collect tickets” policy they were imagining allocations of around 1,000 or fewer. Now...

[Football] Points Needed for Away Europa League games?

The only thing I would say, is that is works well because the FA take over a decent amount of support staff to organise everything. And obviously they are very well practiced at doing it. If the Albion only take a handful of inexperienced ticket staff it could be less than smooth. I’m sure with...

    [Albion] Aston Vanilla tickets

Yeah I don’t disagree. I wasn’t so much concerned at speed of sales, more an observation that every year there seems to be a perceived notion that the loyalty point system means that only a select few can get their hands on tickets for away games, and actually that isn’t the case. Due to all the...

    [Albion] Aston Vanilla tickets

Maybe I’m incredibly naive but having done most away games in recent years and knowing lots of other people who do as well I never got the impression that “point harvesting” was a huge issue or particularly commonplace. Certainly not enough to impact a significant number of sales. Happy to...

    [Albion] Aston Vanilla tickets

If I’m correct that means all 3 away games that have gone on sale so far have all gone down to MyAlbion+ members? Can that put an end to the notion that away tickets are a “closed shop”, or will it come back round when a London game goes on sale?
