[Football] Is there a team more deserving of rotting in League One than Brentford?

Their system works, to a degree, up to us to break them down, but if we're too expansive, that plays in to their hands also. A balance to be had, but as others have said, its a means to an end, they keep picking up bore draws, they stay up, simples.

Yes. Chelsea.

To answer seriously, why are you attacking Brentford? They wanted a point and they got it, more than one way to skin a cat and get results in the PL. How arrogant of you to assume all teams should be forced to play to our strengths, it’s the entitlement I would expect of a big 6 plastic.

Thought they played good football but today put pay to that. They are not going down so why the 11 behind the ball and general no attempt to play the game

Sorry but it's up to us to break them down if they use tactics like that against us. And don't forget how good they looked against United and should have spanked them.
It’s not really all about tactics. Their time wasting was shocking. And at home at 0-0. Made Hughton look like Pep.

There are far worse teams out there than them. Frank's side have never been the best to watch- they're generally quite direct, and rely heavily on counter attacking and set pieces. But clearly they don't play quite as negatively as they did tonight every week, otherwise that stat of having 31 shots against United would never have happened.

The one thing I can't get my head around is this: I understand going so defensive against a really good opponent, but we haven't been prolific ourselves recently, and we generally concede more goals than other top half sides, so why did Frank not go for it a bit more and try to win that game? That was really strange.

In off-field terms, Brentford are a well run club, with great community outreach, who don't massively outspend their means, and who've made the absolute best of everything they had, including what was really a very unpromising location to build a football stadium. There are clubs I'd far rather went down than them.

Exactly what I was going to post. Under Hughton that's exactly how we played.
I can remember two games where we played that way.

Wolves away and Tottenham away.

We went for it at home and even took the lead against eventual champions Man City at home.

As a side note, Davy Propper played 20 minutes in that Wolves game without touching the ball.

They got their tactics spot on, contained us well and it meant that clear cut chances were about the same for both sides. Too expansive and they probably lose to us. Our own fault that we couldn't break them down. Feel like we should could have more direct and why was Adringa so reluctant to run at their full back. Lamptey did as soon as he came on so presumably wasn't a tactic, he just didn't fancy it?

I haven’t read the replies but Portsmouth. If they get promoted this season I hope they stink The Championship out next season and get relegated again. In fact back to back relegations would make me laugh massively.
