So are you more annoyed that he won't sign a contract and is apparently Poyeting himself at other clubs, or are you more annoyed that he's a bit shit and not good enough for our club?
You sound like the bloke who imagines his attractive girlfriend is about to dump him and declares he never though much of her anyway.

On Sky Sports News just now - Carragher and panel all rather quickly concluded that his quotes yesterday was part of RDZ plan to pave the way for leaving in the summer (and then went back to fretting about the title and Klopp etc)

That sounds like a sulk tbh because we didn’t progress further than the first knockout match in the Europa and are a very lowly 9th in the EPL.
It is NOT a one-way engagement here - RDZ has given us a lot too. Frankly, if I was RDZ I’d have pulled my hair out by now, in frustration at repetitive stupid questions from the press, failed transfer acquisitions and fans expecting a repeat of last season notwithstanding Europa competition and at least 3 times the number of key player injuries.

If he spent as much time questioning and admitting his own failings and mistakes as he does criticising and whinging about injuries, lack of backing and ambition from his employers he’d be getting a bit more understanding for his downbeat demeanour imo.
From a personal perspective I am not expecting or demanding Europe again, fantastic as it’s been.
Really doesn’t bother me…….he’s being honest (if he said nothing the levels of speculation would be the same) and TB/PB are more than capable of dealing with it and the outcome will be what it will be. End of season meeting, either a new contract or a parting of the ways and a replacement will be in quickly…….either way we’ll be in good shape for next season, particularly with Tony’s big pile of chips compared to many other clubs. Just can’t get worked up about it, or draw any real conclusions from the comments of a guy who clearly hates press conferences and the repeated inane questions and is frustrated that he has not done as well as he wanted to this season, partly down to him and partly down to others

It boils down to this.... TB needs to spend big, much bigger than before, or RDZ will consider the project as limited in scope.... he will therefore be looking at offers.... though I suspect his agent has already teased soft offers out from various potential employers.

It seems some on here would prefer a manager with no ambition, quite content for us to muddle along in mid table mediocrity, never asking a question about the club's ambition.

Not a fair comparison. Sure, if we had 50k crowds, history of winning stuff, paying players and managers obscene money then our “ambition” might stand a chance of matching his.
