Not too disappointed, frustrating evening and we didn’t deserve anything. Bare bones squad, shit set pieces and final ball, lots of poor passing, bounce of the ball to the opposition again, slow pedestrian predictable build up play. All in all a bad day at the office.

Positives were the return of Enciso who will get injured again very soon if he keeps getting targeted like he was and the cameo from Barco.

I am also struggling to blame Steele for the goal, the ball fell very kindly for Wolves from the parry.

One of the commentators did my head in too with some moronic comments and a clear lack of knowledge about the way we play with some of them.

Another evening of Potter-ball. Domination, but no goals. I know he's flair and all that, and doesn't speak with a somewhere-in-the-grotty-midlands accent, but is de Zerbi actually that much better than Potter? Goy us to 6th. last season, our highest ever position - fine - but did it thanks to a Potter-ball flying start to the season. At the time of that 5-2 thrashing of Leicester, the team was really cooking ...................................

Must admit . Don’t think will be too disappointed when Fati goes back .

Frustrating evening
I thought this in his first few games. His contribution against AEK at home was about as effective as Chub Akpom. Came good though, so maybe he will again.

Have to say I am feeling a bit more confident that RDZ will still be with us next season. I would think the so called big clubs will watch our games and not be too impressed with attacking methods or indeed defending at times.

Or they’ll recognise that he operates with a small budget and a weaker squad than they can offer, making him almost an alchemist.

Lots of nonsense on here about Jason Steele imo. He made a bad error but was in no way to blame for tonight’s result.

Wolves had Cunha out. We had…..

———————Ferguson——————-
Mitoma———-Joao Pedro———March
Lamptey—-Milner—-Gilmour—-Veltman

Still Wolves played a low block and only beat us due to a goalkeeper’s error.
Why are you blaming just Steele? I saw many errors in that goal.

Coming back from the game. What a great chance to progress missed. We looked so clueless once we got to the 18 yard box. We just can't afford to concede the first goals to teams that pack their defence and play on the break. Certainly can't afford to gift an early goal like that. Very disappointed long journey home.

Yes all those chances weren’t on target, so he didn’t need to - doesn’t stop them being good chances though.
We had 2 good chances all game
a free header from 6 yards out , which goodnite missed
and the last king of the game where steel could not even kick the ball properly and went wide
apart from those 2 chances nah
couple of half chances and that was that

Changing goalkeepers nearly every game doesn't help either keeper find their rhythm and often results in us going 1-0. See West Ham, Bournemouth, Luton and tonight. Wat the f*** is RDZ playing at?? Look at the facts. Stop being so stubborn.

I know this sounds ridiculous but I'm actually starting to think we just weren't allowed to have a home cup game this season. The efl trophy game was moved to the away ground for no apparent reason and all four cup games were away. The second we knew we had a potential home cup game coming up, we get knocked out. f***ing wonderful
It sounds even more ridiculous when you add in the fact we beat Reading in the EFL Trophy at the Amex.

Only 8 out? Even the Vulvas identified 9 missing Brighton players on their chat line!

I’m mystified by this new trope that we don’t have a big enough squad. How many players do people think we should have for each position? Even without Veltman, Milner, March, Lamptey, Mitoma, Gilmour, Pedro, Ferguson and Hinshelwood we can still field a decent side. Cloud cuckoo land.

I thought Kerry Mayo had lost some weight his feet looked good too. He had been out of the side for far to long.

De Zerbi is miles better than Potter.

We would often lose games like that, whilst never taking the sort of risks De zerbi demands of us.

Potter's hot streak happened when he had a midfield of Bissouma, Caicedo, MacAllister, Mwepu

I'd like to have seen what De zerbi could have done with those players at his disposal

A lot of negative comments on here , agree it was very frustrating but we weren't terrible at all. Another day we get a result. We have had terrible injuries. We do need to get the ball forward quicker.
