[Albion] Injuries

Way out West
He started against Forest but went off injured after 35 mins. That was his first appearance in the squad for 7 games, his last game before that was away to Marseille where he played the full 90 mins.
And, critically, slightly mis-controlled the ball when attacking the Marseille penalty area, drawing the tackle which resulted in an 88th minute penalty….
…and the rest is history!

Well he did return from injury and come back into the squad last Autumn and did, what I thought was a good job at left back for 2 or 3 games I think

Then he got injured again.

I like him, but his injury record is preposterous. He's contracted, I think, until the end of next season, so it will be interesting to see what happens there. If he doesn't play that much football, there has to be a possibility we just don't offer him a new deal. At the moment he doesn't have loads of value to protect.
Randomly I was viewing a property in St John’s Wood the other day and the agent asked me who I supported. When I said Brighton , he said that his best mate who was a football agent had just taken Tariq on and more than likely he would move in the summer as Brighton will try and get some money while they still can.

There had been whispers last season so this would make sense.

When did Lamptey last actually play? And is the current unjury spell the one that started when he was withdrawn from the match-day squad due to something that happened in the warm up?

He started against Forest but went off injured after 35 mins. That was his first appearance in the squad for 7 games, his last game before that was away to Marseille where he played the full 90 mins.

I'm not sure which game he was withdrawn from after the warm up though?

He was named as a sub for the game at Everton on November 4 but withdrew in the warm-up and was replaced by Jack Hinshelwood (so between the Marseille game and the Forest game).

- Ansu Fati and Igor now full training - probably available for Sat
- Enciso doing light training
- Adingra still at AFCON after all
- Mitoma "on track" but not fit to play for Japan yet. (perhaps semi finals ?)

So fit players are now >>

Steele/Verbruggen
Estupinan, Dunk, Webster, JPVH, Igor, Lamptey
Hinshelwood, Milner, Dahoud, Moder, Gilmour, Gross,
Lallana, Ansu Fati, Buonanotte,
Ferguson, Welbeck, Pedro
