TBF I did once eat a bag of chips in the changing room before a game of football. In my defence it was a game straight after work for my company team, I was in my 20s and very thin and crucially I was bloody hungry.
When I was a kid, I used to like those ‘Star Player’ profiles in magazines like Shoot.
Favourite pre-match meal
Steak and chips

The only thing that was different each week was the name of the player

Sorry should have just avoided this thread, but was about to make an omelette for my daughter and spotted the thread heading. - my daughter is very far from obese and it was a huge relief to discover she actually eats omelettes.

Bookies take big hits when favourites win, not big outsiders. There will be some headline good news stories (500/1 winners and the like) but their exposure likely to be much larger on LH.

Darts, one of the last true sports where eating kebabs and pizza doesn't effect your performance!
I guess it's because they're not actual robots, though the way they consistently hit T20 and their doubles is robotic at times.

It’s sports news. Some of us like to watch stuff that’s not about people killing each other or others whining about the Government. I’ve just seen his most recent interview. He is a very self assured and humble young man, not an ‘obese child.’ No histrionics and always a quiet word with those he beats. A very good role model in fact and far better in that regard than most footballers who get wall to wall tv coverage.

Hardly knocking stories 'off the headlines'. It would look a *bit* weird is media companies DIDN'T mention the fact that a 16-year-old had reached a major sporting final. It's a major news story, FFS!

Whatever the result tonight it'll interesting what happens to Luke Littler in regards to The Premier League picks. He thinks the PDC will keep him out of it as it would be too gruelling for him, but Sky Sports must want him in it big time.
But could you do THIS in a major final with tens of thousands of pounds at stake and an entire airport hanger full of pissed up lads dressed as pencils screaming at you? Still one of the greatest moments in any sports IMO.
Reminds me of the lads near me on the train home last night who were having a 'heated debate' about how hard a nine darter is. Answer - almost everyone on this board would struggle to hit one single 180 in the pub with no one watching. They then went on to debate that 'anyone should be able to take a penalty' to which, with expert timing, the oldest bloke with them replied 'Solly March can't'.
