    [Albion] Oh Bart !!

Not sure it's a massive howler. The back pass was slightly short but wouldn't even say that was a howler. Bart got there but was just unlucky with the rebound

Very tepid performance. We really are struggling to create anything of note at the moment and really miss Gilmour. I can't see us getting many more points if I am honest. I thought Baleba was good again but overall very uninspiring.

Yes, losing the ball with only two players back. Brighton build up, inviting pressure then cut through with several passes. If there is no clear pass or pressure from the opposition they will go back to build with more players, as like you say losing the ball with everyone forward is risky...

Thought it was always gonna be a tough game. Only one winger and about 4 number 10s making up our midfield and front line. Brentford happy to sit deep and narrow so we are gonna struggle with not much pace or width. Still solid defensively and a good point. I think Welbeck made a big difference...

Putting no emphasis on defence, or even trying not to concede again at 2 nil down, away in the first leg of a knockout competition surely has to be questioned tactically. I support the process and the style of football we play but the tactics in this setting seem mad.

Oh missed that. I presumed (perhaps wrongly) that VAR has other angles to work from and used that to draw to line from JPvH. The TV picture they chose was just showing the Roma player was level with that line.

Regarding the VAR call for the third goal, why is it dodgy? I saw it was close but so far have only seen the one angle with the lines drawn. It's hard to tell from the only angle they have given on the TV but presumably they drew lines from a better angle?

Surely in the first leg of knockout European football you focus a bit on defense?? Terrible tactical plan and given us zero chance in the return leg

What a time to put in our worst performance. Feels like this season is unravelling very quickly.

Created chances and an xG of 2.5, we should have won that but glad of a clean sheet. Thank God I support the Albion I don't have to watch West Ham every week.

Not really sure what to make of RDZ comments about young players and focus on Baleba. Sure we would like some premier league ready players but their wages demands would blow apart the wage structure. We have a great mix of youth and experience in my view and surely he knew what he was signing up...

We are not at the level of last season but it’s hardly unexpected considering injuries, players sold and the extra fixtures this season. Before the game tonight we were only one point off same time last season, which is a great achievement. Tonight was a tired performance but we dug deep to get...

Much better second half. Buananotte made a big difference. I think half the problem at the moment is our wingers are so exhausted that they lack the usual threat especially when teams double up on them.So having a different attacking option through the middle gives us something else. Brilliant...
