[Football] Premier League Table- Managers Ranked

Once deprived of unlimited budgets, knickers would the “elite” continue to dominate. About as likely as a Tory surviving in a council house. They’ve been brought up to manage in an unequal world. Put them on a level footing and they’d turn into a platoon of pint-sized losers.

[Misc] Can anyone on here speak Latin ?

Yep, Latin and English Language a year early. For me, that was 1974 and graded 1-6. We were on A-C grades the following summer for the bulk of our 'O' Levels. Unlike swotty Wilson, I took it easy in the 3rd year, 4th year, 5th year, Lower 6th, Upper 6th, 1st year of Uni, 2nd year of Uni, 3rd...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

No, it continues the family interest that goes back for more than 50 years. Or 4 times the lifespan of CPFC2010 to put it in context. He just happens to be very wealthy.

    [Albion] Ticket site

Looks like the update has removed the count of available seats by section. That feature was incredibly useful for figuring out probability of getting seats together for groups in different loyalty tiers. Going to be a right pain in the arse now.

[Football] Anderlecht vs Genk to be replayed due to VAR f*** up

I’m not sure this has anything to do with VAR. The issue was that the referee applied the wrong sanction for the encroachment - he should have allowed the penalty to be retaken rather than awarding the defending team a free kick. Bloody weird on so many levels though.

[Brighton] Abandoned areas of the King Alfred

That’s him … spent the summer before I went to Uni knocking around with him. His Dad worked in the Middle East and bought him a very fancy digital watch. If you pressed a button, the time lit up in red numbers. That was it. Seemed amazing and cost a fortune. The other names I remember from...

[Help] What would you teach someone from abroad about British Culture?

Stick these in Mrs AitN’s toaster and see if anything pops up* - recall happier times: where was your favourite place for Pooh-sticks; who did you play with? - where does honey feature in Ukrainian food and drink? We’ve lost the taste for mead and honey cakes and nowadays … - Ask them to...

[Help] What would you teach someone from abroad about British Culture?

In a previous life, I worked with Poles, Bulgarians, Czechs, Russians, Slovaks and Ukrainians. They were all brought up with a Russian version of Winnie-the-Pooh (“Vinny Pukh”) and were astounded to hear the hundred acre wood is actually in Sussex. If my experience is anything to go by, all...

    [Help] Morals and Ethics

Try not to go down that slippery slope. Once you compromise, everything from then on is relative. Best part of 30 years ago I did some management stuff and picked up a couple of ideas I trot out occasionally when I don't like the sound of things. Ethical dilemmas have a way of sneaking up on a...
