[Football] The significance of tonight's CL playoff semi

Looking through the Norwich squad, I’m surprised they’re in the play offs. Not much potential Prem quality there.

[Albion] Something HAS to be done about the home atmosphere

For what it’s worth, I was at St James Park the other weekend, a stadium you’d normally associate with good atmosphere, and it was a game they very much wanted to win to get into the Europa League….. and it was veeeery quiet. Yes we can improve but our home atmosphere is in line with almost all...

[Albion] Deniz Undav - season long loan to Stuttgart confirmed

Last estimate from various articles was €20m. Widely reported it was a performance based fee which has been going up with the goals he’s scored. Still a sum you’d think they could afford.

[Albion] Line up to start 24/25

I do. Been keeping a close eye on him. Around £15m spent & finishing the season very strongly at his current club. If Barco, Enciso, Buanonotte have come straight in without added loans then absolutely no reason why this guy won’t also do the same.

    [Albion] Valentín Barco **Signed 20/01/24**

Definitely. & can’t see the lad being too happy at leaving Boca only for us to loan him to a lesser league.

[Albion] How many do we need IN this summer?

My shopping list is.. Right back Pacy centre back Centre mid (this is where we put a big chunk of our budget) Winger (Osman) Centre Forward (maybe that’s Undav) There’s argument for other positions or other rotation players, but those 5 are the core of what we need. Those plus the injured...

[Football] Clubs to Vote on VAR removal

Well yes, but my point was in relation to the vote. Better trained refs is vital regardless.

[Football] Clubs to Vote on VAR removal

I just don’t know what the answer on this ideally is. Bin it entirely and you just know that first weekend there will be a load of goals that shouldn’t have counted because offsides or fouls were missed, or because a player has dived for a penalty. Sky have loved VAR because it gives them so...

    [Albion] Valentín Barco **Signed 20/01/24**

Good defensively and going forward. Lots of potential there.

I so hope we beat them, so many disgusting Chelsea fans on the trains spouting off the homophobic stuff.
