Its funny really, cause when I have said in the past we have top young talent like Olise and Guehi to come into the squad and all I got was "they have never played in the Prem and are totally unproven" Now you guys are bigging up your squad players and making out losing Bissouma wouldn't be a huge blow because you have Caciedo and Mwepu... who have never played a minute of football in the Prem ???

Just googled Olise and found this on Wiki: "In March 2021 Olise was named as a standby for the Nigeria squad taking part in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho". Is this the same player you mean?

They are not good enough to replace Bissouma IMHO. You would be weaker without him.

How do you know that they aren't good enough to replace Bissouma?

Both 22 years old so have lots of scope for development, Moder already looking like a PL player in the games he has appeared in and incredibly versatile.

Bissouma has only been a regular for us for a season and a half, he is an outstanding player and if he did go we would get a lot of money for him, but we don't rely on him to the same extent you rely on Zaha.

Probably him yes.

And a good talent, could turn out to be good signing for CP.

We can't replace Bissouma, because he is a level above.
However we aren't dependent on him.

We all expected Bissouma to leave in this window, so aren't particularly phased about one of Moder/Alzate/Macallister covering the gap if Mwepu isn't good enough.
Sure it's a downgrade, but we know at least two of them are good enough, while we wait for Caceido or Mwepu to fulfil their potential.

The point I made earlier about Zaha, was based on my limited knowledge of your squad.

If Zaha does a hamstring tomorrow and is out for 3 months.
Who plays instead?

Ayew or Schlupp and then Olise when he is back from injury but we are also in the market for another winger and a striker.

I would judge us when the transfer window is closed as I have always said.

As it stands you just don't have the depth to cope with more than a couple of injuries.
Which was the original point of my post.

You have a big rebuilding job going on.
In fairness it is probably a good time to dip into the loan market.
So you may yet do well.

Not really. A highlight reel is not going to change my mind on him being a good talent

Its also not going to make me think he is ready to be a starter in the PL. I've seen shite players with excellent highlight reels - it just doesnt tell the full story.

Even Locadia somehow managed to look good on a highlights reel
