Yes, I've had some thoroughly enjoyable, engaging evenings talking Baseball and Gridiron in Bars/Pubs in the USA.

They've always welcomed my interest in 'their' favoured games and been genuinely enthused to talk Football Rugby - even, on one memorable evening in Chicago, Cricket.

The language of beer and sport(s) is, in my experience, universal.

I opened a discussion about cricket with an american friend once. Her response - "Cricket ?? Uh...thats a bug around here". Then when I said it could go on for 5 days and end up in a draw, she was all out :lolol:

Still using "groovy gang" I see. *cringe*

Anyway, that was boring.

If you are referring to the half-time show, yes it was

First part of that half time show reminded me of the Muppets.

American sport is different to ours as you explained, except Golf, its the same all over the world but the behaviour of the yanks when the Ryder Cup is held in America is dumb beyond belief and by the vast majority of them too, I went to one, it was awful, even some of the players were dancing on the green and we still had to putt out.

Can't argue with that. Americans fans on the golf course is max cringe. They're unbearable.

I'm not saying I'd be offering them out, but if I was on a golf course with the GEDDINDAHOLE brigade, I'd definitely be passing some salty limey remarks their way.

Mahomes receivers have dropped 5 or 6 massive catches. The guy has real guts.

We’ve absolutely savaged the Chiefs, tonnes of respect for Mahomes but he’s been battered! Didn’t help early on that his receivers decided not to catch balls. Lots of backchat and criticism of the Bucs but from 7-5 they’ve been absolutely brilliant - the defence incredible!
