Saw a piece in the Express online today where a smoked Salmon (not Gammon) business owner was claiming to have convinced 80 of remainers he has spoken to, that Leave was a good choice.
Interestingly, the only argument he provides in the piece, is that he exports more now to the US than he did before we were members, no more to the EU, and he has some compliance hurdles placed in his way by the EU.
I would reckon that these compliances are all related to food safety and possibly sustainability of the source of Salmon. Perhaps it is these very standards that the yanks appreciate, because I am damn sure you can get Salmon in North America, and they know how to smoke it.

So you think we'll stay in the customs union then?

The EU or it's exporters have far more to lose. So some deal will be negotiated. Probably not a customs union deal but something like it in name. Neither side wants to harm it's exporters via malice or at least I hope they don't

Leavers getting desperate now. The only entertaining thing about this shambles is coming on here and winding them up. We're going to be part of the EU in all but name. Forever. And they voted for it! Priceless.
We voted to leave . Lock, stock and barrel. Us getting desperate? Pot. Kettle.

not blind at all ,i'm quite aware there will be teething problems , you can't let that put you off in the long term, AFTER ALL IT'S WHAT THE VOTE WAS FOR EH ?

We've got never ending austerity and all that entails for public services and infrastructure, both for those directly now required as a result of Brexit and those that aren't. The most clueless, inept, divided, rabble of a Government where sane voices are frightened to speak out, backed by Northern Irish, creationist believing, religiously dogmatic freakoids who are happy to rip up The Good Friday agreement to get one over their Sinn Fein 'colleagues' who want a united Ireland and the break up of the UK and can't believe the luck that's come their way in the shape of Brexit to achieve it . The most clueless, inept, divided, rabble of a opposition where sane voices are frightened to speak out and are at the control of Momentum. Our 3rd largest party at Westminster is separatist, independence at any cost group that want to break up The UK too. Our overstretched, under resourced civil service and foreign service gets branded as 'remoaners' or 'experts' as do others in the private sector with technical knowledge and concerns do, as the anti-intellectualism facet of the populist Brexit continues to plays out. Yet you think they'll just be 'teething problems' and we're 'putting the GREAT back into Britain' and wealthy, public school buffoons like Rees-Mogg and Farage know exactly what they're doing and really care about the welfare of ordinary people like you and me in all this.

Forgive me for just seeing this all as a giant cluster***k.

Apologies if I put anyone off their dinner, but I spotted Farage making sure the world knows it was not all about immigration. Also manages a big up for his pal Trump.

You don't know what you voted for but you're certainly not getting a lock stock and barrel departure. Far from it. You know it. We know it. Gutted.

It's not malice that will harm exporters on either side, but merely the realities of being outside a customs union. (See every other border crossing in the world where the 2 relevant countries are.)

How is it the EU that has more to lose?

Yes because of clowns like you that refuse to accept a democratic process. Now if everyone accepted the referendum result and all got behind it we wouldn't be in this situation. Oh no though they would rather spit their dummies out, refuse to accept it . The idiots in the houses of parliament and I'm including all sides. The remainers going against what the MAJORITY voted for. Don't get my started on the hugely remain civil service doing all they can to Leak their opinions to the media.

Moaning bunch of snowflakes. I thought you were always shouting that you're glad we are leaving in the way we are leaving. You haven't got a ****ing clue what's going on, have you.

Are you hoping your reverse psychology will have you believing that you aren't the snowflake. Whinging all the time. Do you think that if you say it enough you'll convince yourself.

Hahah! How have I affected your precious brexit? Blaming everyone else. Again. Sorry Flowerpot but other than pointing out to you what a **** up you made of the UK, my influence ended as soon as my vote was counted. Now, dry your eyes. You voted for this, at least have the dignity to not whinge about what you voted for. Wah, wah, wah all the way home.

Just seen a feature on BBC local news about our local councils and brexit. Think it was ESCC worried about supply of greenbins once we Brexit, are they serious. Why has nobody proposed buying the sodding bins from a UK manufacturer in the first place, or is that just too easy.
