You are anything but pedantic when you re-post incorrect statements from the club without any form of criticism. It's not contrarian either because that word presupposes that you have an unpopular opinion. You're not expressing any opinion here though, just re-hashing the club line.

which only leaves "dull" then which i'm sure we'd both agree on. :)

Not at all. I was a big fan of your radio show on Radio Sussex many years ago, I even once won a prize (a Wedding Present single). So, no, I don't think you're dull and there's really no need for all this self-deprecation. I just find it curious, this Ministry of Truth role that you play.

so far today I guess i've been called out again dubious Baldock rumours based on not that much, expressed surprise that several think we're not still interested in a striker after a bland Hughton interview, and quoted some old Barber transfer window quotes back at a few posters (uncorrected) because i'm fascinated he makes the effort. Why ? Passing the time. Its a long christmas holiday innit.

Ha! Genuine laugh out loud moment. I must confess, I find Paul Barber's modus operandi fascinating too. He's never off duty. Just to add I have a lot of time for him and think that he does a brilliant job.

Fair enough matey, all the best and have a happy new year.

I thought that was Pritchard‘s agent on his mobile on the M23 trying to scratch his client out some more money?

Didn’t Norwich have to cough up an extra £1m to push the deal through and to stop Spurs reporting them for contacting the player directly?

Yes, you're right.

I hear what PB has to say. However, IMO If we fail to score enough goals in the second half of the season.....we will get relegated ....!

I wish we could forgo all this bloody hot air and just get the job done! How long until we are told it's a 'difficult' market?

Who are the best two strikers in the Champ? Can’t we just go and buy them both for Christ’s sake. A ****ing striker. We need a ****ing striker. No other saga in football has gone on this long except for the missing cup final money. Brighton and Hove Albion are a ****ing joke and I’m sick of hearing about how we cannot sign anyone despite being richer than the vast
Majority of clubs in the world.

There. I’m flouncing off now got that off my chest. But really am sick of our stories of woe. Barber OUT!

Can just see it " We've spent so much time sorting the shortage of home shirts issue for Christmas which tied up all our scouts looking for sweat shops to produce them which now makes it difficult to attract a striker in the short time left. "

Yes, absolutely agree with that - if we don't score enough goals we'll go down (although theoretically eighteen 0-0 draws could still keep us up) - but how refreshing to read a true fear. Not all that oft repeated guff the doom-mongers proliferate that if we don't sign a striker we'll go down. Granted, if we don't sign that good striker we're after, it'll make avoiding relegation that much harder, but it won't make it certain. We've got half way through the season with half the points we need to survive, haven't we?

Well, it appears despite all being said or not said as may be the case, that the story wont go away at this stage.

DAILY MAIL

Brighton are wary of West Ham entering the race for £25million-rated Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.

Couldn’t agree more. How come other clubs are able to do it as they have the same hurdles to jump as we do?

Perhaps because we are establishing ourselves still and despite our facilities it could take another year or two to get people in, I really think some peoples expectations have gone a little unrealistic. We are in for a half marathon not a sprint to where we would like to be and TB and PB are taking it at the right pace IMO, I doubt there is anyone on this board close to TBs maths and calculations this stuff really does not happen over night
