What bugs me is that he misses the Huddersfield game, meaning they are gaining an advantage before kick off for an incident that happened against one of their league rivals.

He might not have been playing against Huddersfield anyway. He's just had surgery to insert five pins and a plate into his broken hand. The one that Murray "shook" a few seconds before collapsing in dreadful pain after the (apparently) unprovoked elbow.

When was the surgery ?

Sometime between last Saturday and now.

And don't worry, Kalimantan Gull, Long played two matches when Mee was out and we didn't concede. And Mee-Long should be a better pairing than Tarkowski-Long.

Murray did you a favour then.

Is Murray going to be out for a long time, incidentally? I know he and Tarkowski both played on, but Murray was a lot longer on the floor feeling sorry for himself about his ribs than Tarkowski was with his hand. Unless Murray's the biggest wuss in the world, he must have at least cracked one or two.

Absolute bollox all this play acting , the sooner a ref gives a straight red for simulation / feigning injury the better , fed up with seeing it , every team does it including our own , it stinks , seriously would you go down and lay on the floor for 30 seconds if the missus poked you in the ribs ffs .

I think your season is about to normalise itself :)

"Normalise"? That's OK as long as it still means we finish above Brighton...2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17....and probably 2017/18 for a 5th season in a row.

And the last 5 seasons have probably been some of the most successful in your illustrious history:)

Yeah, been a while since we beat you, 4 and a half years. Really thought it was going to be last Saturday, and damn did we not play a sparkling game, but couldn't get that goal. When Knocky hit the post....

Of course its even longer since you beat us, April 2012, almost six years now. Game before that was the infamous 9-man game, I will always remember that day very fondly as my daughter was our mascot, and if CMS could have just got his effort away in the last minute.........

I'll have to get myself to Turf Moor in the spring, never been but it could be a cracker....

Can i just add whether Murray was seriously hurt or not makes no difference to the offence your defender committed. you may bleat all you like about things going against you but in this instance it didnt because seen in the match would have meant 10 men and possibly a penalty if the ball was in play. if murray made more of the contact only he knows but your defender was stupid to get involved and its no different to dyche in the ear if the 4th official arns wide for every decision and i mean all of them.
For what its worth i dont like either.

Geez you do go on don’t you..I recall Tarkowski falling over a blade of grass in the same half and taking ages to pick himself up...now how about changing the tune you are beginning to sound like a stuck record

It may be stupid, but it's understandable. I've never had a broken hand myself, and I don't know if you have, but if you ever do and someone grabs it, can you guarantee that you won't react with violence? If only to get him off?

You can stop bleating about the penalty and sending off, because obviously if the ref had seen what Murray did then Murray would have been sent off and the free kick would have been the other way.

Five pins and a plate in his hand. That's the problem with being a genuinely tough guy - they don't believe you're hurt. The wimps and whingers and divers get the rewards every time.

Poor old Tarkowski. You seem obsessed with Murray, but I saw him foul Duffy in the area, but nothing given because he didn't have the ball and was facing away from goal, and also at fault for the penalty that was given.

I've also checked on the Burnley website, where it says he had a bone fracture in his hand, not a dislocated finger. The break was caused by falling when he fouled Murray the first time.
First rule of football when fouled (if he was) is don't retaliate. He isn't a victim.

but he wouldnt would he since grabbing someone by the hand is not deemed violnt conduct but punching someone in the ribs however hard is. Indeed the hand grabbing as you put it formed part of his defence in trying to reduce the ban. so it was seen by the officials reviewing the incident but didnt help his defence nor was murray charged. you maybe be clutching a bit here.

I would do if she used a razor-sharp hunting knife.

It depends if the elbow caught him in the ribs or on the diaphragm/solar plexus.
