Do we know when BBC/BT are due to make decisions on scheduling?
I'm due to drive down to Spain for a month on the Sunday and might need to do a spot of rescheduling. :lolol:

Nope, with Albion Dan here, you are talking liberal drivel.

Please explain how it is liberal to wish for no trouble?

And in your view no doubt that was a good thing. For others they prefer their football with a dash of anticipation, rather than a spoonful of dull, dreary boredom that is oh so boring and safe.

We get it. You just like the hope of a fighting confrontation. There have always been people with that way of thinking. I love the rivalry with two sets of fans who are diametrically opposed, but I prefer my football to be displayed on the field. That has nothing to do with breaking into a ground and injuring people, so don't try to legitimise violence under the guise that it's part of the game.

I don't think it is rubbish at all. We've never had this issue before of such a restriction on the number of away fans. And it's nothing to do with loyalty points. We've been taking 3,000 odd to quite a few games this season. There's a lot of fans building up loyalty points but the away allocation for Brighton fans for the return game will almost certainly be the same 2,000 limit. That means that 1/3 of us who've been attending these matches won't get a ticket. And it's not because they don't have enough points but because there will be fewer tickets.

From what I understand from Palace mates whose word I trust, a lot of the HF are regular away-dayers, we see them often enough on MOTD at away games. I'm not excusing their behaviour at all but I do honestly think it wouldn't have happened if they'd have had tickets.

So in the away game are lots of Brighton fans going to turn up without tickets and look to storm their way into the ground.
We only had what 1300 tickets for Bournemouth in the league, and no trouble caused whatsoever, so I still don't take the lack of tickets as an issue.

eh? Straw man argument. I said nothing of the sort. Just pointed out that your comment that they should have accrued more loyalty points is a load of old tosh.

Well I didn't get answer so I don't know what he was thinking or suggesting. A straight they should be banned would be good.

You introduce the word 'scared' not sure where you get that from but having seen some of your previous posts I guess your vocabulary rotates about hard people and scared people, I can assure you i am neither just don't want this sort of nonsense going on especially when it might impact our game and hence a positive result in our favour.

I have been to a lot more intimidating games in my life especially in the 70's really don't need that any more

Cracking draw, Hoping for an early kick off Saturday.

Guess we will get 2k tickets again, Can't see Sussex police giving us any more.

I thought your lot didn't believe in tickets?

Give them 2000 tickets which could distributed on two special trains that turn up at 2.15 2,30,give palace the north stand for easy access, all brighton fans must be in the stadium by 2pm(if 3pm ko) and remain in the stadium till both trains have departed, potential disorder averted, extra stadium spends and it stuffs the early leavers, also we get the bigger end:thumbsup:

If I were Sussex police I'd just say "Rules are rules, give them 15%".

4600 Palace come to town, all hell breaks loose, everyone agrees afterwards no more away fans at this fixture for at least the next 5 years. Problem solved. Short-term pain for long-term gain.

We still want to win this game, we need a relatively strong lineup.

I agree, personally.

the side I posted was what I EXPECT to see, rather than what I'd LIKE to see...

We took over 6,000 fans to the 5-0 game in 2003 if my memory serves me correctly.....we had the whole Arthur Wait stand.....now I would not say that that Day passed peacefully however it goes to show that should not be too difficult to deal with the extra allocation of tickets in this day and age....Palace might want to start by banning the 200 or so MIB’s that rushed the gate last week - the majority of which can be no doubt easily identified by the state of the art CCTV system they have atthe Amex
