As pointed out earlier in this thread, Villa fans said that he played for them against Wolves on return from an Asian international and was so knackered he had to come off after 55 mins. So, that seems to be the basis on which Bruce has ruled him out.

I'm not saying he definitely won't play, just that that is the reason for Bruce's early statement. I'd quite like him to play, as I'll think we'll pass round him and Gary Gardner.
