Stockdale poor again

My most is based on rational thinking people not ones that are obviously biased and can see no wrong. When called upon this season he has not met the mark. Routine saves are what he is paid to do we need the keeper to step up to the mark when called upon, which he did last season but sadly not this.

Hit the nail on the head BG. He hasn't stepped up in the more tricky games so far this season and given we are paying Maenpaa reportedly decent wages he should be seen as a viable alternative not just a stop gap when Stockdale is injured.

Not the real one
That is the concern of most as he was a great improvement last season on the previous but seems to have gone back to the original level of 14/15 season.

Finchley Seagull is entitled to an opinion but I dont think any body can say he has been good this season.

I wouldn't say he's as bad as 14/15 as he has pulled off some unreal saves this year, but errors are creeping back into his game. Competition for places is good, Stockdale as well as any other player will realise that a drop in form and errors means you may lose your place. I think Maenpaa certainly deserves a chance to play.

A nice bit of South London
I had the perfect view from ESU....Stockie was at fault IMHO because he started to come for the cross, then changed his mind and was flat footed as the Preston player just guided it over him.
If he had carried on and come for the cross, he would have got to the ball at the same time as the scorer.
Wether that is obvious from the replays I dont know because most camera angles are from the other side.
Myself and everyone around me knew that as soon as Stockie hesitated, it was the equeliser.

That was my opinion as well

Seriously. Not stepped up in tricky games. We mustve lost at least 3 1 tonight then

I guess the 2 points he won us tonight was ok with everybody

I honestly thought he was poor again tonight. Looked so dodgy from crosses, punching was woeful, made two incredibly simple saves look difficult and generally looked nervy all night. I know we've kept 8 clean sheets but his form is nowhere near as good as last season

So Dunk is facing a one match ban, Bruno limped off tonight, Goldson's hardly kicked a ball and hasn't played alongside Duffy ever and people are calling for us to drop Stockdale??

If you think they were incredibly simple saves, then I suggest you get a job as a football coach somewhere, if you're not already. You must be the best in the country. So astute!

One must give credit where it is due and judge each game on its merits and tonight he stepped up to the mark in the last few minutes. Well done long may it continue.

Just the last 5 minutes. Did the one he tipped over the bar in the first half not count?

Thought he made 3 crucial good saves, especially when you see the last 2 again, came through a lot of players, so had little time to react.

Effectively preserved the points.

Still needs to be more dominant on crosses though.

Watch the highlights and then get back to me!

The tip over the bar was straight at him, the second was going wide and the third was so tame he should have caught.

I'm not suggesting dropping him but to say he he saved us two points is utter utter nonsense

I've seen the highlights. I'm happy to agree with Chris Hughton who praised Stockdale for his saves.

The tip over the bar was good but the rest was again all routine goalkeeping which some will evidently **** themselves silly over. He didn't inspire me with confidence from the corners, Wolves looked as though they could score from any of them... Needs to command his 6 yard box much better, I hope the clean sheet gives him confidence. I'd give him a 7/10 as he did the basics well but we could well be punished from corners against better sides and his kicking is still a bit awry

The 8th clean sheet from 13 games.

It's well known on Nsc that you're biased.
