Great news! Buying books (and BHA stuff) online will be much cheaper for me now! It is also good for British exporters who will now be able to sell more high quality British made products to continental Europe. Hmm... looks like Brexit might turn out to be beneficial for British economy after all.

Maybe one day British pound will hit parity against Polish złoty--if that happens I'm totally going on a Seagulls shopping spree.

Ha ha - yes. I think these were the two key objectives for the Brexit crew. Unfortunately they didn't realise they'd trash the economy and bring about a decade of austerity in the process.

Well if you're taking one flight as evidence here's my research. Flight to Tenerife on Norwegian last October £39. Flight on Norwegian this October £39.

In times of strong £ and low oil prices Airlines will buy fuel 2+ years in advance so the impact of currency and oil will not be felt for a while. All you've run into I'd suggest is supply and demand and the dynamic pricing that airlines use based on bookings and expected loads

BTW I voted to stay in!

Most airlines won't have much hedging more than 18 months ahead....and quite a few are unhedged. The price of fuel in Sterling is about 30% higher than it was in early June. Some airlines are in danger of going bust if things don't improve in the next 6 months.
However, at the moment there is massive over-supply, so any flights this winter should be dirt cheap.

Actually lots of people do. It is an indicator of just how low our currency has fallen. It is certainly a significant sign of the shambles the leave vote has plunged us into.

This! I am fed up with being told what to do by the EU....I want cheap, dangerous crap goods at rock bottom prices with no guarantees.
I would much rather work a longer working week with less maternity/paternity leave and I certainly want parity between the Pound and the Euro as that makes buying things abroad much easier to value. We now have the right to be turned over by our own unelected Brexit government so things are on the up! We have "Taken Back Control" although we have no control on the value of the Pound as it continues to slide.

It's probably best to do what Nigel Farage has done and marry a German for a wife as who in their right mind would want to live here now.?

I read a few days ago that if it drops another 10% it will almost certainly force the government into drastic and emergency measures. The way the country is collapsing I presume the minute Article 50 is triggered, or a major corporation pulls out of the U.K., it will be game over.

But given the option of becoming a full member of the EU, accepting the Euro and everything else that comes with it, most Remainers would have said No. As for employment law, we need to stop peddling this idea that EU protects workers, because it doesn't, it never has and never will, just look at what is going on in France.

We talk down this country so badly, nothing is perfect, but this country is far more advanced than other countries when it comes to employment law in general.

You obviously haven't seen what happened to some poor women in Sweden recently. It is absolutely disgraceful. It is not the Europe I know, or a Europe I want to be part off. Suggest you check it out.

The "game will be up" once there are camps of hundreds of thousands of migrants in Kent and Sussex living in 3rd world conditions chancing their wretched lives in the hope that they might make it into the EU.

All the while there are hundreds of thousands camped in the EU wanting to come here, and inward migration is already running at 600k p.a. then I think the game in this country is far from up.

The Mafia dons in Brussels only seem to be interested in trading with themselves, it's the financial equivalent of Ford Market. Britain does not need the single market. Trigger Article 50 next month and don't let the EU bog us down for 2 years to punish us.

Seriously? With myriad factors available to castigate EU membership that is the most significant argument you can muster? Ignoring the obviously tenuous nature of your postulation (although totally unable to dismiss the image of flying pigs) if you were sufficiently motivated to want to change the Treaty of Rome or revoke the Maastricht accord then I'd suggest, driven by your resolve, you'd be totally and utterly focused on who to lobby and more than well aware of who had the influence to initiate change.
